First Week at Home

Two very inexperienced parents trying to figure out everything new with having our little CotW at home.

We made the crib smaller by placing the carrycot inside. We had dinner in the bedroom two evenings as we didn't want to leave you alone. You made it clear that you wanted to be held most of the time. We experienced the first inconsolable cries and nearly returned to hospital. Cards, gifts and flowers started to flow in. Mummy realised that sleep is no longer something you can take for granted. The breast pump, bottles and steriliser became a permanent feature in our life.

Carrycot in the crib.

Flowers from mummy's work colleagues - sent off a flood of tears when discovered outside our door the morning after our first night with Alice at home.

Endless love.
